Flexion Distraction Therapy

Flexion distraction manipulation decompresses the disc by applying a gentle stretch or traction to the lower spine. Usually a series of repetitive slow movements. The procedure is often used for people with disc problems, but can also be used in other ways such as to gently mobilize joints.

Flexion distraction technique uses a table to restore normal physiological range of motion to the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal joints. It is a gentle, non force adjusting procedure which works with the body's natural design to aid in the healing process. Studies show that more than two-thirds of patients report good to excellent improvement with a typical rehabilitation program of 12 treatment.

Cold Laser Treatment

Cold Laser Therapy or Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment that utilizes specific wave-lengths or light to interact with tissue. It is thought to help accelerate the healing process. This treatment can be used on patients who suffer from a variety of acute and chronic conditions in order to help eliminate pain, and swelling, as well as reducing spasms and increasing functionality.Cold Lasers are handheld devices used by the clinician and are often the size of a flashlight. The laser is placed directly over the injured area for 30 seconds to several minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated, and the dose provided by the cold laser. During this time, the non-thermal photons of light that are emitted from the laser pass through the skins layers (the dermis, epidermis, and the subcutaneous tissue, or tissue fat under the skin). The light has the ability to penetrate 2 to 5 centimeters below the skin at 90mw and 830nm.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a technique used for treating pain and impairment of movement. The technique uses a dry needle, meaning no medications or injections, inserted through the skin into the affected areas of the muscle.

Diversified Technique

Diversified Technique is what generally results in the popping sound as the chiropractor makes a manual adjustment to correct misaligned or subluxated spinal segments of the neck or back, and is one of the most widely used forms of manipulation in the chiropractic field. The focus is on restoration to normal biomechanical function, and correction of subluxation. In addition, Diversified methods have been developed to adjust extremity joints, allowing for beneficial applications in treating sports injuries and other injuries.Diversified adjusting of the spine uses specific lines of drives for all manual thrusts, allowing for specificity in correcting mechanical distortions of the spine. X-rays and case histories are used in analysis and diagnosis. No instruments are used in the adjusting procedure. Motion palpatation and full spine, hands-on techniques are used to deliver a deeper thrust, which makes an osseous (popping) sound as the adjustment is given. Diversified adjustive procedures consist of high velocity, low amplitude thrusts that usually results in a cavitation of a joint. These techniques attempt to use the normal biomechanics of the spine and extremities in order to create motion in spinal or extremity joints, with the goal of restoring function and structure to the joint.

Spinal Decompression

In non-surgical spinal decompression therapy, the spine is stretched and relaxed intermittently in a controlled manner. The theory is that this process creates a negative intradiscal pressure (pressure within the disc itself) which is thought to have two potential benefits; Pulls the herniated or building disc material back into the disc. Promotes the passage of healing nutrients into the disc, and fosters a better healing environment
